Note to self: End of the semester is not the right time to decide you need to get caught up on Heroes, regardless of how adorable @wilw and @greggrunberg are together.

Let me guess, @wilw=Brea Grant (aka Daphne) and that has to do with her Twitter account? She's apparently gotten a number of actors - and some crew - on Heroes addicted on Twitter, at least as far as I've heard on the one Heroes podcast I listen to.

There's a lot to catch up on and some of it is a bit complicated. Last episode for the volume is on December 15th...maybe you want to wait a week or two and catch up on all 13 at once? :\ It may be worth it, especially with the twists and turns that a few episodes have taken. The last 2 episodes have been especially shocking in a few spots. My jaw has literally dropped a few times.

No, @wilw is Wil Wheaton, who at this point doesn't have anything to do with Heroes beyond being a fan.

I'm only halfway through season 2, so I definitely have more than I should be catching up on right now.

@wilw DESERVES, i repeat DESERVES, to be on hereoes. if seth green and breckin "blech" meyer can get cameos, wil MUST get one eventually.

Season 3 is uneven. I was drastically uninterested in the first handful of episodes, tepid towards the next few, the last three are excellent.

I'm sure it'll happen. They're slowly working their way through notable guest actors. Though they may need to wait a bit for any other Trek-related ones since there have been at least 2 in major-ish roles. I'm still waiting for Adam West to show up somewhere on there.

The full context of the post is here:

Around 10 last night, I stopped banging my head against my desk and took a sanity break online. While I was looking at TotalFark, TwitterFox popped up with the following Tweet:

@wilw we need you to cameo on HEROES. how bout it? Let me know, it's Greg Grunberg from Heroes. Parkman.

Normally, I'd think this was a prank, but my friend David (who plays Eric Doyle on Heroes) mentioned to me last week that he'd joined Twitter, and that he was following me and Greg Grunberg. So I went O_o and replied:

@greggrunberg How cool and random to hear from you ... we have a mutual friend in @dhlawrencexvii! I'd love to be on your show, for serious.

I think I replied appropriately, right? Considering that the alternative was something like OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG, and all.

A few minutes later, he replied:

@wilw I'm sure Tim would LOVE to have you. I will talk to him tomorrow and see what he thinks.

Tim Kring says there is nothing in particular in the works at the moment, and Wil has apparently blown two Heroes auditions already, so it certainly isn't a sure thing.

But they also had a twitter conversation where they talked about making a self-produced "buddy cop" show for youtube.

The slash almost writes itself!

Ah, gotcha. And season 2...not the greatest. I blame the strike. Season 3 has definitely gotten better, regardless of what EW or any other part of the mainstream media may want to say. (How soon they forget that their own favorites tend to have sophomore slumps, too...) It's just taking them a bit of time to find their legs again.
