There is currently an ad on the Sacramento Craigslist for a bunch of toys. Second item on the list is "Jump rope -- needs batteries. No idea if it works."

It's a freaking jump rope!

I remeber seeing those - you hold the handles and the rope does turn it self. Some kind of gears in the handles.
