Nov. 10th, 2001 11:37 pmBusy day. Well, once I got moving, anyways.
We decided to go shopping, with a stop for geocaching in downtown Sac. I didn't copy down the actual directions, since it looked from the map like the caches (there were two right close to eachother) were in an area I'm already familiar with. They weren't. We ended up walking in a big circle for about an hour before getting to the graveyard where they were located. We got there at about 5:30. The place closed at 4:30. Oh well. At least it was exercise, and we know where it is now so we can skip the huge walk next time.
On the way back, we stopped at an used bookstore, and picked up a bunch of books. This was not really intended, but being bookaholics, it is physically impossible for us to pass an used bookstore without stopping.
Next, found a goodwill store, as we're both in need of cheap-ish wool sweaters for hiking purposes. The Goodwill store on Arden Way is glassware heaven! There was an absolute ton of it. We grabbed a bunch of it (for candlemaking) and will probably return for more at some point. They also had a seemingly functional sewing machine for $35. Since we'd both been wanting one, we got it.
Then, Arden Fair Mall, where I fulfilled the office's Franklin Covey fetish by getting an organizer with a pocket for my visor. It was $30 off the regular price. Why is it that every time I go somewhere with
koyote, I find exactly what I'm looking for at a much lower price than usual?
After that, dinner at some fish place. Yummy.
Now, jacuzzi in the rain, and then sleep :)
